I crossed the border. And now?

Once you have crossed the border, you need to meet with an immigration inspector. He will ask you some questions to check the reason for your stay in the country. The asks can be different for each person, but in general he can ask "Where you go?" "Why?" "How much time do you spect to be in the country"? if you are there for work, then will ask to you "How much will you earn"?. All this information they allready have it, and the questions are just for check if you are lying in some of them. It's very important make the things well, so they're will make sure of that. If everything it's OK, they will give you a permission to stay in the country, it can be for 1,2, or 3 years. This permission cost $6 USD, so make sure to bring some dollars with you before the interview.

The first contact that you will have with another country, is the embassy. The most of the attendants will to speak to you in spanish, but sometimes they ask to you if you want to speak in english. In my case, I said no because I'm learning yet, but there are many people who already know the language. If is your case, don't doubt and try to speak as soon as possible!. This blog are going to give you some situations from the real life and (many) vocabulary to face all this situations. Good Luck!

English for real life.

How many times we were trying to learn English without satisfactory results? Well, this happened to me all my life. Now I moved to the United States and I can see all the difficulties we have if we do not know how to speak English. First of all, I feel underestimated and a little silly when I try to talk to someone. Some people will help you, some people get desperate, and if you have any luck they will speak to you in Spanish; which is not good because we are trying to learn English. As you can see, my vocabulary is very basic and I will have many mistakes while I try to write this, but it is the only way I have to practice. In the next few days, I will tell you about all the difficulties I encountered during my trip. I hope all your support, as well as find a way to learn together.
